BLOB - counting and measurement of geometric dimensions of objects with coherent pixel areas (blobs).

• Does not measure individual pixels but image rows-ie much faster than pixel based
• Objects can be any shape or complexity
• Objects can contain any # of holes, holes are measured as objects
• Object which every hole belongs is known
• Several extraction modes, blob can be tailored to different requirements.
